2 women dies of Swine flu in Bilaspur, 4 critical

Bilaspur | Desk: Two older women diagnosed with swine flu have died, while four others have also tested positive and are currently undergoing treatment.

The deceased women, aged 66 and 51, were residents of Janjgir and Koriya, respectively.

The 66-year-old woman from Lachanpur village in Janjgir-Champa was admitted to a government hospital after showing symptoms of cold and cough.

Due to her deteriorating condition, she was referred to Apollo Hospital.

However, as her condition worsened, she was taken back to her village, where she passed away.

Similarly, the 51-year-old woman from Pandopara village, the wife of a worker employed by SECL,

was admitted to the hospital after experiencing symptoms of cold and cough.

She passed away after her condition became critically severe.

The other four individuals who tested positive for Swine flu or H1N1 are receiving treatment in different hospitals in Bilaspur.

While their family members have been advised to quarantine.

Health authorities have increased surveillance and have urged people to consult a doctor immediately if they experience a fever lasting more than three days.

What is Swine or H1N1 flu?
